What Is HBOT?
Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment which improves natural healing by breathing oxygen in a chamber where atmospheric pressure is controlled. It is used for a wide variety of treatments usually prescribed by a physician.
What Types Of Chambers Are There?
There are two types of medical grade chamber.multiplace.and monoplace. Monoplace chambers deliver 100% oxygen and multiplace deliver oxygen by individual mask or hood. Chamber should be selected in advance to determine which is the best design for you. Your questions will relate to privacy or claustrophobia.
What Are The Benefits Of HBOT?
It has long been known that healing many areas of the body cannot take place without appropriate oxygen levels in the tissue. Most illnesses and injuries occur, and often linger, at the cellular or tissue level. In many cases, such as: circulatory problems; non-healing wounds; and strokes, adequate oxygen cannot reach the damaged area and the body’s natural healing ability is unable to function properly.
Is HBOT Safe?
All parts, plans and manufacturing of hyperbaric chambers, must be approved by the FDA and HBOT is considered a drug and must be prescribed by a physician and treated by a highly trained technician. Changes in atmosphere can cause pressure in the ears similar to airplane flight. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy provides this extra oxygen naturally and with minimal side effects.
What Conditions Are Treated With HBOT?
There are almost to many conditions to list, but most of the conditions are created by reduction of blood flow, which reduces oxygen. Most common in children are Autism, Cerebral Palsy and head injury. In adults Stroke, dememtia, Alzheimer’s Parkenson’s and some infections, viruses and diseases. Many conditions cannot live in oxygen like cancer. Additional detox measures be required since blood flow could have been reduced by metals and toxins.
